Our client is rebuilding their entire data platform on Microsoft Fabric and they need a hands-on leader to own the end-to-end delivery, from migrating existing pipelines to building net-new capabilities.

You will lead a small team (3 people), set technical direction, and bridge the gap between the data team, implementation partner, and business stakeholders.

What You'll Do

• Lead the Fabric rebuild: architecture, ETL/ELT, data modelling, governance
• Champion AI – identify and deliver practical use cases (Copilot, Azure OpenAI, Fabric AI)
• Mentor a team of analysts/engineers while staying hands-on
• Manage legacy (SQL Server, Pentaho) and decommission it post-migration
• Own Power BI reporting and stakeholder communication

What You Bring (Required)

• Hands-on Microsoft Fabric experience
• Strong SQL, data modelling, and medallion architecture experience
• Team leadership or technical mentoring on a major platform project
• Power BI proficiency
• Stakeholder skills – able to translate technical to business language

• Our client's headquarters is located in the southeastern suburbs of Melbourne.
• This role requires being in the office three days per week.
