Responsibilities
Reporting to the Line Manager, you will work within a collaborativeproduction team to support the build and assembly of rail vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) to determine job,material, and equipment requirements.
- Use a range of mechanical and power tools including grinders,drills, and riveters.
- Assemble components and structures through precise welding techniques.
- Perform fabrication using MIG, TIG, and STICK processes.
- Work with Carbon Steel and Stainless Steel materials.
- Contribute effectively within a team-driven environment.
Your Profile
- Must have Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade orequivalent qualification.
- Proven experience in MIG and TIG welding.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and weld torequired standards.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Able to successfully complete a drug and alcohol CAT 3 medical aspart of the onboarding process following a successful interview.
Interview Process
Successful candidates will be required to:
- Read and identify welding symbols and do a weld test with welding inspector
- Meet the hiring team for any project related details.
What’s on Offer:
Contract Duration : 6 months(potential for extension)
Hourly Rate : $62.40/hr + Super + Penalties
Site Location: Dandenong
Shifts: Mon to Fri; 0600 to 1430 hrs
