Role description: Our Buildings Design business has a growing pipeline of work on the horizon across the east coast which has created an opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Structures team. Deliver projects across the building and infrastructure sectors, while being mentored by a great senior team comprising Principals, Associate & Technical Directors. Role accountabilities:

• Delivery of full structural design on significant building projects in the transport, education, commercial, defence and retail sectors
• Managing selected projects (or components of projects), assuming responsibility for resource allocation and management, and ensuring the integrity of the overall design (in collaboration with other design disciplines)
• Managing packages (or part packages) of work in re-development and upgrade of existing buildings, new builds and complex structures
• Working in collaboration with other design teams and disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design
• Collaborating with other teams in a complex, multi-disciplinary environment
• Reviewing and ensuring compliance in components of projects including drawings, reports, and specifications
• Making valuable contributions to our projects through innovation and technical solutions.
  

Qualifications & Experience:

• Significant experience using ETABs, RAPT and SPACEGASS (or similar) Design Software, additional demonstration of other program knowledge would be useful as would familiarity with Revit and AutoCAD
• Understanding of commercial matters with some degree of business acumen
• Ability to think creatively in an innovative and entrepreneurial manner
• Demonstrated experience as a strong team player, invested in projects and outcomes and able to contribute to, and lead small teams and groups of people as required
• Recognized experience in delivery (or part delivery) of medium to large scale projects to clients through all project phases
• Engineering degree, Chartership advantageous.
